As a ministry reaching the students and interns who work at Walt Disney World, we want to trust God to see “The gospel of Jesus changing, lives, communities, & countries around the world.” That as this happens, it will begin to effect change in the spiritual realm in a way that will trickle over into effecting change in the physical problems our society faces today!
Changing Lives
Over the years, staff and students have discovered that making friends with international and American interns at Walt Disney World® is incredibly easy! Hundreds of friendships have quickly taken root as they worked and had fun at Walt Disney World®. Through these natural relationships, having fun in sunny Florida, and hosting group discussions, thousands more interns will soon hear, see, and experience the gospel of Jesus. And in Christ they will find the life and redemption for which they are deeply longing.
Changing Communities
Life happens in communities of relationships. While most students know no one when they arrive at Walt Disney World®, we want to build small communities of students throughout the internship community. We envision these “spiritual movements” popping up across the program in work locations, apartments, and country-of-origin affinity groups. At the core of each movement is an exploration and growth in understanding how the fullness of life is found in Jesus Christ. Through excellent resources and hands-on development, these interns can grow as followers and leaders for Christ. Our prayer is that we would see leaders raised up to return home equipped to start their own spiritual movements in their campuses, communities, and countries.
Changing Countries
Some of the greatest problems facing the world today keep billions of people from experiencing the fullness of life. Reversing the growing impact of these problems is at the heart of the Walt Disney World® Missional Team. The sustaining, long-term solution to these global issues is found in Jesus Christ. With the opportunity to work with the next generation of top leaders from around the world, we desire to give them the awareness, vision, and resources to return home as leaders to see the gospel of Jesus forever change these debilitating problems in their cities and countries around the world.
